For the longest while now, I have been strangely really wanting some fish. Last week, I got an email from a friend saying that her daughter had brought home two pregnant guppies that had given birth to 20 babies, asking if anyone would like some. "What a coincidence!" I thought to myself, "This is perfect!"
So, I emailed her back and asked for two. Now, as far as names go, I had already wanted to name one Shark. The other one, I had really no earthly idea. Consequently, I polled my friends on facebook. They gave me names like Bait, Oohaha, Max, Nemo, and oh, Stick. Someone suggested the name Stick so I could go, "Hey, this is my fish, stick." If you don't get it read it out loud, it'll come to you... Well, I loved the name Bait, so it was decided the second one would be named Bait.
Yesterday was the day we got them, but instead of two, there were three! They were each so tiny, that one had slipped in their. So I named the last one Stick. They are all less than a centimeter long, but what's funny is that last night, they looked like tadpoles. But this morning, they've grown their back fins! God's creation is so amazing.
Yet, as cool as they are we bought a very sheek-looking fish bowl with some fun plastic rocks at the bottom. As soon as I transferred them into the container, two of them got stuck under the rocks and couldn't swim out. All that being said, we had to remove most of the decor for the safety of the dumb fish. I told my friend that the more appropriate name for Stick might have been stupid considering they've almost killed themselves many times already.
Anyways, just thought I'd share... Shark, Bait, and Stick will certainly be an interesting addition to my family.
Sour.
P.S. It's SUMMMMEEEEERRR.
